Steven Moffat On David Tennant's The Day Of The Doctor Return

Doctor Who's Steven Moffat talks about David Tennant and the shows 50th anniversary episode The Day of the Doctor in the new issue of the Radio Times.

"Once we’d decided on getting more than one Doctor involved we wanted David back," says Steven.
“David’s Doctor was struggling to move on from the Time War. The hardest challenge of all was having the Doctor meet himself.”

Moffat also speaks about his worries over The Day Of The Doctor audience reaction.
He called the experience of writing the 50th Anniversary episode "terrifying," because he "wanted everybody to love it."

Tomorrow is the last day to vote for The Day Of The Doctor in the Radio Times Audience Award category at this year's BAFTAs.

On the nomination Steven says:
"It was a relief waking up the day after Who’s 50th birthday episode aired to the sense that just about everybody enjoyed it. Winning the RT Audience Award would make it more special."

The winners will be announced at the British Academy Television Awards ceremony at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London on Sunday 18th May 2014.
